Scandinavian countries awarded by the European Seal of e-Excellence

The European Seal of e-excellence 2012 granted two Scandinavian ICT companies for their innovative products and services and their outstanding marketing track records.

Lingosaur (2012 Gold Seal Winner) is a Finnish translation agency offering translation services by real people. To maximize its efficiency and to minimize costs, it operates purely on the Internet. Whatever the business of its customers, it wants to enable their global communications.
Its aims were to create an efficient and easy solution for its customers to make translation orders over the Internet, and to provide jobs for translators. The outcome was today's Lingosaur, The Online Translation Agency.

Norse Solution (2012 Silver Seal Winner) is a Norwegian company that delivers the best and most comprehensive software and service for efficient administration, reporting, accounting and disclosure of share-based payment programs. It is today the leading supplier of customized web-based software for the administration of share-based compensation plans in the North-European region.

The World Economic Forum’s Global Information Technology Report 2012 which is based on items such as broadband and mobile phone use, number of applications for ICT patents, Internet access in schools, e-government initiatives, ... described the Nordic region as “leading the ICT revolution.” Scandinavian countries are a real potential area of high level ICT companies for the European Seal of e-Excellence and many contacts will be made for the 2013 Seal edition.
